I don’t just work for the March of Dimes, I believe in our
mission. 1 in 8 babies is born
prematurely and premature birth is the #1 killer of newborns. I'm walking in March for Babies because I want to be a part of
changing these statistics. No parent should have to leave the hospital without their baby. I have worked for the March of Dimes over 4 years
now, and I believe in the work we're doing.
This year, the March of Dimes celebrates its 75th
anniversary! I am proud to be part of an
organization with such a rich history of mission successes. The money we raise is making a difference,
and we’ve all benefited from the work of the March of Dimes over the last 75
years. We conquered polio, discovered women
taking folic acid could make a difference in reducing neural tube birth defects
and now our grains and vitamins are fortified, influenced legislature to make
sure all newborn babies are screened for detectable and preventable disorders,
and many other advances that save babies who are born too soon.
I hope you will consider supporting me financially or joining my team to walk in Houston on April 28.
There is no registration fee, so you can
join, make your own donation, and reach out to get people to support you as a
walker. You can join my team here: http://www.marchforbabies.org/team/MODHouston.
If you can't walk with us, please help me
reach my goal by making a donation. You can do that online as well here http://www.marchforbabies.org/AHance.
I've also added a thermometer on the right so you can see how close I am to my goal, and to make it easy for you to join or donate. Thank you for supporting March of Dimes research and
programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy
lives!
